Surgical instruments are divided into two categories: common surgical instruments and laparoscopic instruments. The timely maintenance of instruments and the precautions during cleaning are particularly important.

1 Disinfection

1.1 The laparoscopic instruments can be sterilized using a low-temperature sterilization box (ethylene oxide), immersed in Wanfujin (2000mg/l), and sterilized by plasma. 1.2 All metal devices can be autoclaved (except for plastic jackets).

 1.3 The carbon dioxide tube, light source wire, flushing tube and ultrasonic knife wire can be sterilized by plasma.

1.4 If soaking and disinfecting, soaking the instrument should be open shaft section, the lumen should be filled with disinfectant, all kinds of power connector not stained with disinfectant or water.

 2 Use

2.1 The function of the instrument and the looseness of the screw should be carefully checked before use, in particular the elasticity of the pneumoperitoneum needle, the direction of rotation of the electrocoagulation forceps, and the presence or absence of the electrocoagulation link; the clarity of the laparoscope and whether there is any damage or cracks.

 2.2 According to the light source choose a suitable hard mirror, according to the electric knife to choose the right coagulation line.

 2.3 Instruments and hard lenses should be handled gently.

2.4 The optical fiber and camera cable shall not be discounted so as to avoid breaking the beam or CCD connection and supervising the use of the hospital.

3 postoperative cleaning and maintenance

3.1 Do personal protection before cleaning the equipment.

 3.2 The instrument should be dismantled as far as possible during cleaning, and rinsed with running water.

 3.3 Please wash the device after soaking with multi-enzyme lotion, brushing it with a brush, 50ml syringe, etc.

3.4 Thoroughly clean the instrument washed with the multi-enzyme lotion with running water to remove multi-enzyme washes and dirt from the lumen. After drying with a dry gauze, the lumen of the tube was filled with 50 ml syringes to empty the water.

 3.5 Fiber optics and other pipeline equipment, wipe with a wet gauze, place it in a circle of 20-30cm straight, and do not discount.

 3.6 After the device is cleaned, check for damage or missing screws.

 3.7 If it is not necessary to disinfect it, it can be coated with paraffin oil and stored in a fixed device cabinet.

 4 Custody and maintenance Laparoscopic instruments must be specially managed.

5 Maintenance Under normal use, the device may suffer from problems such as aging, deformation, missing screws and other small parts. For example, the insulation of an electrocoagulation hook breaks, the needle holding forceps hold the needle unstable, the cutting edge of the insulating scissor is unfavorable, the sheath ceramic head is damaged, the bridge breaks, the sheath deforms, and the like. Once the specialist nurse discovers that the device is no longer working properly, which may affect the doctor's operation, it should replace the intact device in time. The damaged equipment should also be promptly repaired. In the past, because it was necessary to return to the original manufacturer to be able to carry out repairs, the maintenance cycle was too long and the maintenance cost was too high. This led to the hospital's willingness to abandon the old purchase.
