- Aug 06, 2018 -

All benign, cystic ovarian tumors, collectively referred to as ovarian cysts, there are three types of serous cystadenoma, mucinous cystadenoma and dermoid cyst (teratoma). Ovarian chocolate cysts (ovarian endometriosis cysts), ovarian coronary cysts are also commonly known as ovarian cysts. Ovarian cysts are a common disease that can occur at any age and are more common in women aged 30-50. Cysts grow slowly, are asymptomatic at an early stage, and are often found by chance during a gynecological examination. As the tumor grows up, there will be discomfort in the bloating or a bump in the abdomen, and some in the same room. Compression of the bladder can cause frequent urination and poor urine; compression of the ureter can cause ureteral hydrops, hydronephrosis and low back pain; compression of the intestine can cause flatulence and constipation. Cysts can also be reversed, ulcerated, peritonitis, causing severe abdominal pain, bloating, difficulty breathing, loss of appetite, nausea and fever. When it affects hormone production, symptoms such as irregular vaginal bleeding or increased body hair may occur. The cyst is long-lived and may be malignant. The malignant rate is 35% in serous cystadenoma, up to 50% in papillary type; 5%-10% in mucinous cystadenoma; and 2%-4% in dermoid cyst. The systemic condition deteriorated rapidly after malignant transformation. The cause of ovarian cysts is unknown, there is no prevention, only through examination for early detection, early surgical resection.

Traditional surgical methods generally require a 15 cm incision in the lower abdomen. After the operation, the incision is painful, the function of the gastrointestinal tract is slow, and the patient is usually discharged 7-10 days after surgery. Laparoscopic ovarian cyst resection, using this method to remove ovarian cysts, only need to do 1-2 5 mm incision, 2 10 mm incision in the abdominal wall to complete the operation. It recovers quickly after surgery and is usually discharged 3 days after surgery. Laparoscopic surgery is less invasive, less painful, less bleeding, quicker recovery, shorter hospital stay, less complications, and less scarring due to postoperative abdominal wall incision.
